Railtec Railings has been family-owned and operated out of Carroll County since 1996…and we’re keeping it that way.
Begun in the mid 90s by Bill and Diane Kirchhoff, Railtec has always been a family affair. In the early days, while Bill took care of estimates, oversaw quality, and handled construction, Diane kept track of day-to-day business operations – scheduling jobs, keeping clients happy, and paying bills. Their son Tommy began to learn the trade at an early age; not only honing his skills as an expert craftsman under Bill’s watchful eye, but learning what it takes to run a successful business and keep customer satisfaction front of mind.
Fast forward to 2020… After Bill and Diane retired from day-to-day operations, Railtec welcomed in the 2nd generation of Kirchhoff at the helm, as Tommy seamlessly stepped into his dad’s shoes to keep pushing Railtec forward. Tommy leads a team of craftsmen employed by Railtec – not just a revolving door of contractors – whose skillset is custom-tailored to stair rail design, construction and installation, with an unwavering focus on quality and dedication to their craft.
